Lessons
The Hot Springs Family YMCA offers progressive
swim lessons to both members and non members. All developmental
multi-leveled swim classes are taught by experienced, caring,
trained instructors.
Each session consists of eight classes which are
30 minutes each.

Class Descriptions
PURE ENERGY:
This class is for beginners all the way through to advanced
students. It is a great way to get your body moving at your
own pace and de-stress your life!! Everyone is welcome to
come and “feel the energy”!
WATER DANCE: This class is another one
that is highly recommended for be- ginners, all the way to
advanced students. If you love to move to music and dance
this class is for you. Don’t miss out on the fun… Everyone
is welcome!
GROUND ZERO: Come and enjoy this class
if you want to be kind to your joints but work your heart!
It’s a great class for beginners and those who are looking
for something with a little less impact.
POWER HOUR: End your day with the
“Zing” of a great work out!! This class will leave your
heart thumping and your muscles crying… but all is good, you
will see the results in your great body!!
WEEKEND WARRIOR: Start your weekend
with a fun, energizing and lively work out!!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME IN ALL OUR AQUATIC
CLASSES.

Seals
The YMCA SEALS Swim Team stresses the YMCA
character values of Honesty, Respect, Caring, and
Responsibility. We not only teach our swimmers how to swim
fast , but how to work with a team structure. The SEALS are a
competitive swim team and go to several swim meets throughout
the year. The SEALS train year round with two seasons:
Short Course (Sept - April) and Long Course (May - August).
All children ages 6 - 18 must try out with one of
the SEALS Coaches. In order to qualify for the team the
child must be able to perform the following: Freestyle
with rotary breathing, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly kick,
long shallow dive and freestyle flip turn.

Coach Jim Norman's Team - Monday, Wednesday,
Friday from 7:30 - 9:30 am
& Tuesday, Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm
Coach Sha Prince's Team - Monday, Wednesday,
Thursday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm
