Youth Super Sports

Basketball

Basketball 2008-2009: Registration begins September 1.

Basketball (Starting for kids age 5 years and up)

Give your child the opportunity for the age appropriate skills development preparing your athlete for scholastic sports.  Skills and Drills are taken from YMCA Super Sport Curriculum. Sessions are held monthly on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  Fees:  Member - $35  Nonmember - $45.

 

Football

Football Fall 2008: Registration Information

Flag Football (For ages 5 - 6 years)

The Flag Football Program is designed to introduce young athletes to the sport of Football.  Coaches are trained to work within age appropriate skill development and athleticism. Teams are decided by draft. Once team assignments are made ROSTERS WILL NOT BE ALTERED. Register early to ensure that your child has proper team placement.  Fees:  Members:  $55  Nonmembers:  $65

 

Tackle Football (For ages 7 - 12 years)

The YMCA Tackle Football Program is sponsored by our YMCA Super Sport Program.  Character development and Asset Building are as much a part of our program as preparing athletes for the challenge of scholastic ball. Teams are formed by draft. Once team assignments are made ROSTERS WILL NOT BE ALTERED. Register early to ensure that your child has proper team placement. Fees:  Members:  $55  Nonmembers:  $65

 

Soccer

Soccer Fall 2008: Registration Information.

Soccer (For ages 4 - 16 years)

The YMCA Youth Super Sport Soccer is designed for age appropriate skill development. Beginning at age 4 athletes are introduced to the basic elements of soccer and progression leads to excellence in scholastic play.    

Fees:  Members:  $45  Nonmembers:  $55 

 

Martial Arts

Martial Arts is an ongoing registration.

Grandmaster Hans Martial Arts (For ages 5 years and up)

"Be Polite. Be Patient. Be Alert. Be Brave. Do Your Best" Give your child the edge! Martial Arts Program is offered by Jennifer Padgett.  It is part of the Division of the World YOUN WHA RYU Association and is offered in partnership with the Hot Springs Family YMCA. Football Cheerleading (6 - 12 years of age)

Football just wouldn't be the same without the cheerleaders adding all the fun and enthusiasm! Let your child be part of the HYPE on the side line......BE A YMCA CHEERLEADER! Fees - Members: $65 per session Nonmembers: $75 per session.

 

 

Baton Twirling

Adult Activities

Pick Up Games

This is a fun way to keep in shape! Teams are formed informally by participants.  Pick up games are free and open to members only.  Guests may not participate.

Basketball: Tuesdays/Thursdays 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm in the YMCA Gymnasium

Volleyball:  Mondays 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm in the YMCA Gymnasium

 

Grandmaster Hans Martial Arts

Are you looking for something to challenge yourself in an incredibly different way? This class may just be it.  Marsha Stone is the Director of this program which is offered in partnership with the Hot Springs Family YMCA.  The program is part of the Division of the World YOUN WHA RYU Association.
