When School is Out we are IN!
The YMCA has always focused on meeting the social, emotional and academic needs of our young learners so they can grow into the change makers of tomorrow—and today is no different.
The Y’s out-of-school time offerings are staffed with people who understand the cognitive, physical and social development of kids, the support parents and families need and the importance of maintaining a safe, clean environment for children to learn and thrive.
At the Hot Springs Family YMCA parents and caregivers can feel good about pursuing career goals while their children are in a safe, thriving environment.
The Hot Springs Family YMCA partners with the Arkansas Department of Human Services providing licensed programs afterschool on the Y campus and at Lakeside School. Summer Programs are housed at the First Lutheran Church Campus.
The Hot Springs Family YMCA Afterschool and Summer Day camp program is licensed as Better Beginning Two. The Lakeside SCORE program is licensed as Better Beginning One. Better Beginnings
Transportation
The Hot Springs Family YMCA employes fully state licensed bus drivers who are charged with transporting students from the following school districts to the YMCA Afterschool Campus program:
Lakeside School District
Lake Hamilton School District
Hot Springs School District
Inclement Weather
For the safety of our team members, the Y reserves the right to cancel scheduled programs due to inclement weather. If the closing occurs during program hours, parents and caregivers will receive a phone call letting them know their student will need to be picked up immediately. If the closure is called prior to scheduled program times notification will be made on the Hot Springs Family YMCA Facebook page as soon as the decision to close is made.
